Risa discovered Pilates in 2008 as a pathway to recovery from years of ballet-related injuries and intensive conditioning. Her practice has since spanned various methodologies, Classical, Contemporary to Athletic with a deep-rooted dedication to Contrology - Classical Pilates in the lineage of Jay Grimes.

She joined Core Conditioning to further her belief in Pilates as a holistic system—one that delivers effective, corrective exercise for all bodies, across all walks of life. With both parents living with Parkinson’s disease, Risa’s approach to physical wellness is deeply personal, focused on empowering others through movement, strength, and mobility.

Outside the studio, Risa embraces her own physical and mental well-being through boxing, modern dance (Graham and Horton), and various wellness practices such as Oxygen Advantage breathwork and the Feldenkrais Method.
