Alexis Kinder received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Southern California in 2015. Alexis has been a certified and licensed Gyrotonic® instructor since 2008. She is also certified on the Gyrotonic® Jumping Stretching Board, trained in Redcord® Neurac 1 and 2, and CranioSacral Therapy. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the International Association for Dance and Medicine Science. Alexis has clinical experience in outpatient orthopedics, inpatient acute care, pediatrics, and aquatic therapy. Prior to studying physical therapy, Alexis graduated with a BFA in Dance with a focus in Ballet from Marymount Manhattan College in New York City. After receiving her BFA, Alexis danced professionally with companies in New York, Italy and The Netherlands. . Throughout her dance career, Alexis has had the opportunity to perform, teach, choreograph, and assistant direct. It is through this experience that Alexis began to appreciate and study the body. Alexis is proud to bring her experiences from dance, Gyrotonic®, and the education she received at the University of Southern California to enhance her career as a Physical Therapist at Core.
